DESCRIPTION:Children’s chorus and dancing group “Otrada” attached to Saint Nicholas Chernoostrovsky monastery \n\nChildren orphanage for girls “Otrada” attached to Saint Nicholas Chernoostrovsky has been raising generations of girls for many years and has been giving them not only good education but also establishing traditional family and moral values. Taking into consideration the importance of diversified personal development the heads of the monastery and the orphanage created a chorus and dancing school.\n\nThe “Otrada” girl’s chorus performs classical choral compositions\, folk songs\, compositions based on poetry by the great Russian authors depicting the beauty of the Russian countryside as well as liturgies. “Otrada” chorus successfully represented Russia in more than 30 countries in Europe\, and their performances have been praised not only by the general public but also by the dedicated admirers of the tradition of Russian choral singing.
