Count Almaviva sings а serenade to Rosina\, the protégé of doctor Bartolo. Along comes Figaro\, a happy and confident young man. He agrees to help the Count win the love of his beloved Rosina\, for a certain amount of money and praise. Bartolo guards Rosina strictly and jealously\, as he himself wants to marry her. Rosina\, on the other hand is in love with Lindoro\, who is actually Count Almaviva. Bartolo and Basilio decide to blame the Count before Rosina. Figaro tries to win Rosina for Count Almaviva and happily notices that this requires no effort as Rosina already loves the Count personified by Lindoro. Rosina gives a note for the Count to Figaro and the barber cheerfully leaves. Suddenly\, a seemingly drunk soldier bursts into the house. This is the Count who reveals himself before Rosina. Having caused a disturbance in the house\, Almaviva must be arrested. Instead\, he whispers something to the detention officer and quickly everything goes quite. Bartolo is amazed.\n\nACT II\n\nAlmaviva\, disguised as a music teacher gives Rosina a singing lesson. Figaro shaves Bartolo while Almaviva and Rosina are secretely plotting a plan to escape. Figaro’s appearance and curiosity sparks doubt in Bartolo who makes out Rosina’s and her so-called teacher’s plan. Along comes Basilio who invites the notary. The Count bribes the notary and eventually all  ends with the marriage of the Count and Rosina\, who receive a blessing from Bartolo as well.
