“Requiem” by the Italian music master Giuseppe Verdi is one of the most powerful, most dramatic works in the history of classical music. This work is a wonderful fusion of opera, drama, symphony, exciting virtuosic solos, joy and happiness, pathos and grief, simple “sentences” that stir the mind, and deep philosophical ideas whose essence is worth thinking about. . The masterpiece is devoted to the famous Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni. Composer Johannes Brahms declared that “only a genius could write a masterpiece like this!” Verdi’s Requiem is a work of “most concentrated” emotions – all human feelings packed into so few pages.
